Hello All - Well all of us down here in Naples managed to survive the Hurricane that blew through town.  The power went down for a week, and we had a luxurious stay at Grandma's house of treats!  Mom managed to have her birthday and even won a Halloween Costume contest!  So, all in all, not a total loss, except for the cable which is still out.  I'm going to be heading up to the Ugly Dog Contest this weekend at the Flamingo Island Flea Market.  Since I won last year, I'll just have to sit on the sidelines and take in all the Uglyness and pass on the crown.   Don't forget to read BRING IT ON from the Aug. archives and have a good laugh at my newest Holiday Screensaver in the Zippy Photo Gallery.  Pass it around for a few laughs on me!

Hello - Hello

Zippy here once again.  All is well as well can be in Florida.  The good news, Mom's brother Tim

out in California got a stand-in part for Rob Estes in the new series called "The Evidence".  From what I've heard, he get's paid really well and does all the things that the actor doesn't. 

He missed the opportunity to do a stand in part for Robert Downey Jr., who Mom thinks he looks most like - but things are going well for him and she is spreading the news.

Mom just wish a little luck would head her way, although she is making some progress on the house.  She's going to check her lottery tickets for giggles, because she never wins :-)    Anyway, I have to go.  Hope to see you soon.

Ugly Dog Contest:-)

Hello All - I just signed myself up for a little Ugly Dog Competition on line at Dogexplorer.com.  The site is fairly new, so, if you are like me, go to the site and put up a picture or two.  There are many categories to submit to.   The newest news, I'm still hanging in there, all snuggled up in my blanket by Mom in the den.  Mom's brother was called to do a stand-in part for Robert Downing Jr., on his latest film, but he couldn't make the call due to his work schedule.   Yes, he was kind of bummed out :-(  I'm getting ready for the upcoming Holidays.  I apologize for not having my costume on, as Mom has yet to unload her 4 crates of costume attire from the garage, but I promise, it will be soon.  I've skipped to Thanksgiving "look" until the costume goes on.  Anyway, Mom is trying to come up with an idea for Halloween herself.  One year she was a Sumo Wrestler, and a few years ago she and her friends actually won the contest.  She is coming upon another dreaded birthday, and her Mother's birthday is on Halloween.   Maybe that is why she loves it so much, and is the pack-rat prop queen of the Universe!  She has a million Movie Posters to itemize and sell, a house to finish, and a yard to mow tomorrow.  So with that, I must go as she needs her rest.

I WANT TO MEET SAM :-)

Hello everyone!  Like my blue du today?  I'm glad to see that your checking me out!  I still want to meet SAM.  I'm getting a little thinner due to my progressive kidney disease, but Mom's doing her best to keep me eating all the time.  This past weekend, she and her sister took a drive to Gainesville, to check out the sights.  The area has hills and real trees, and I think Mom liked it a lot.  I just wanted to let you know that my picture is on page 104 of Workman Publishing Co's "Bad Dog" Humor Book.  It was an old shot of me when I was a spring chicken of 7.  There are a lot of funny dogs in the book, even my Mom had a big laugh!  So pick up a copy and let me know what you think.

F.Y.I.

Hello all Zippy Fans -

I just wanted to let you know that Mom's brother met Actor/Singer Will Smith on the set filming his new movie this year "Pursuit of Happiness".  Her brother Tim is a SAG member extra/stuntman and is playing an extra role as a Stockbroker in Will's latest film.   Mom said Tim's mustache he had to grow for the role was hilarious!!!  When she knows more, she'll be sure to let me know.  Right now I am resting in the warm blankets, and wishing Mom would get to sleep.  It's Friday night, and she has a little one to take care of so she doesn't get out much, but when she does, she likes to go dancing and smile and sing if she can :-).   She absolutely needs a good fella to get together with.  It's her birthday next month and boy she would like a surprise.  Last year she sat alone in the house. :-(  Make her day, and send her a smile.  Zippy say "BRING IT ON"! before I go.  I know that I may not be around for her next gathering, as I am a 15 year, 5 month old babe, and having my troubles, so my wish is for her to "be" and get "happy" before I go across the Rainbow Bridge.   She has been virtually alone for 5 years and plays with this computer way too much! DIG

Limping around the house

Well today, I woke up just a limping.  My mom can't figure out what's up with my leg, or my foot.   She's carried me around the house a lot today.  I really can't tell her what's bothering me, but hopefully by tomorrow things will be a little better, so that she doesn't have to work so hard, and worry so much.  Mom has also joined this Animal site to meet animals and their human friends.  She's seen a lot of faces and finds it very interesting.  I'll let you know if anything "interesting" transpires.  Otherwise she has her hands full with her 3 1/2 year old who thinks he's boss, and I just try to get out of the way.  Mom really has her hands full! I personally think a good friend and a vacation would do her some good :-)

SUNNY DAY:-)

It's a most beautiful day down here in Florida.  Since tomorrow is Grandparents Day, Gigi & I are getting geared up to go for a ride around town.  I'm feeling a little better today, eating all the cooked sausage my Mom can put down for me.  If your looking at my site for the first time, don't forget to read BRING IT ON post and look at all my pictures.  We have to make a stop at the Barns & Noble bookstore and check out my picture in the Bad Dog Book just recently released. CATCHIN FLIES

Hello All- I'm just sitting around here, catching a few flies with my lizard-like tongue.  I know "it's Huge"!  I certainly wish there was a way to help the Hurricane victims, their families, and their beloved pets.  All my prayers go out to them right now.  I am feeling a little better these days, eating a little better too!  I'm getting up there in years, but am still looking forward to the day I can meet SAM.

CALIFORNIA DREAMING :-)

I'm just hanging out in hot, sunny Florida, looking old as ever, and looking forward to the day I get to meet SAM up close and personal.  My medicine seems to be working, and I have a little zip back these days.  I feel about 60!  I am way too sexy for no shirt in this photo, as you can see, and I mearly want to cap off my life with an UGLY DOG CHALLENGE - Zippy Style!  C'mon SAM-THE-MAN,  Make My Day!
